Hi friend,
I’m Michael Ventura.

For the last two decades I've built a career as a leader, facilitator, and educator working with people and organizations through moments of transformation and change.

This site, Consolidated Eggs, was created as a place to put “all my eggs in one basket” in an effort to easily explain what it is I do. (This remains to be seen.)

If you’ve arrived here to learn more about my process or to chat about working together, please consider visiting my website, subscribing to my newsletter, or sending a good ol’ fashioned email.

These days I'm currently serving on the advisory boards of a variety of venture-backed and growth-stage businesses:

Data Protocol (The future of privacy online)
Empathable (Making empathy accessible)
HUSH (Designing experiences for tomorrow)
Le Marké (A European market, in your kitchen)
OKCapsule (Better living through supplements)
Reconnect Labs (Regenerative therapies for mental health)
Root Financial (The back office for purpose driven founders)
Siberia (Engineering the future of digital)
Social Studies (Influencer marketing backed by science)
SPCSHP (Creative specialists for pioneering brands)
Spin Launch (Revolutionizing access to space)
Supernatural (Herbalism for the masses)

I am also the board president of Tribal Link Foundation, a bridge-building, U.N. accredited organization that brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders and institutions in the service of building capacity, engaging communities, and amplifying the voices of Indigenous Peoples for the well-being of the planet and humanity.

For over a decade Corvus Medicine has grown to be an integral part of my life's work. It's a complementary medicine practice that works in both Indigenous medicine tradition of the Nahua Peoples and the Taoist tradition of qigong to help individuals heal and grow. This work is offered in private practice in New York City and Shelter Island, via my faculty appointment at the Esalen Institute, and at workshops and retreat centers around the world.

If you know me personally, you know I am also a huge dog dad. A few years ago I was approached to help create an exciting new brand for modern pet families. Together with co-founders Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, we launched Kismet, where I serve as the company’s President and Chief Brand Officer. If you’d like to get involved in the work we’re doing, or if you’d just like to switch to our amazing food for dogs (discount code: MV15) please do. Oh, and tell your dog I said hi.

Together with Sister Simone Campbell, Dr. Keith Magee, and Greg Shultz, I’ve co-founded Understanding US. This program is designed to help bring techniques and confidence to Americans seeking to engage in depolarization work for the sake of our families, communities, and democracy.

In an effort to support friends, colleagues, and myself, I’ve co-created Equalls, a mid-career community designed to ensure we have a place to build each other up while trying to make the world a better place. For an invitation, or to learn more, email me.

Generally speaking, I’m not an early adopter. That said, I realize the growing relevance of Web3 and as such, I’ve signed on as a founding member of OND and am looking forward to getting my feet wet.

Back in 2018 I wrote my first book, Applied Empathy, which I continue to share with audiences around the world. To discuss speaking engagements, please send an email.

My second book is currently in development and will be released in 2025. If you’d like to talk about purpose (hint), drop me a line.

As a lifelong seeker of transformational experiences, I have participated in and advised the Burning Man organization since 2008. Since 2013 I have co-organized La Calaca Village, a wellness sanctuary for the Black Rock City community.

Finally, more information on my leadership practice can be found at MichaelVentura.co.

Formerly, I’ve…

-Founded, led, and sold the award-winning brand strategy and design agency Sub Rosa.
-Built Calliope, a neighborhood design store in New York’s West Village, with my wife Caroline.
-Co-founded Inked Magazine despite my lack of tattoos.
-Taught and lectured about empathy at institutions such as Princeton University, The United States Military Academy at West Point, University of Michigan, University of Oregon, University of Texas (Austin) and at a multitude of corporate and non-profit organizations.
-Supported various Indigenous rights initiatives within the Obama-Biden Administration and the United Nations.
-Advised a variety of organizations in a board capacity including; Behance (an Adobe Company), The Burning Man Project, The Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards, +Pool, ZenBusiness, and others.

Those are my eggs. Now you know.

If you want to get in touch, you can email me, find me on LinkedIn (weirdly professional content) or Instagram (professionally weird content), or maybe send a postcard or some non-perishable food items to PO Box 857 Shelter Island, NY 11964.

Until next time, take good care of yourself, and each other.
